and will those purchases not depend on the league position. If LFC are 20 points off the pace for CL qualification they will not be able to sign quality players that will propel the club to that level.

As it stands (alphabetical order): Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd, Newcastle (at a push) and Spurs are all 2 seasons ahead of LFC. Will the FSG model be able to pursue their long term goals without CL income?

Pray tell, what is the FSG model ?
