  • Dunno, I don't think they'd explode but they might flex and/or start to go out of true after a while - I'm not sure they're the stiffest rims around given the quoted weight and width. E.g. CXP33s aren't available in anything under 28H, and they're deeper (and thus - probably - stiffer).

    28/24 ought to be ok. I'd maybe consider 32/24 or 32/28. You could give Strada a call and see what they'd normally recommend for your weight, since they have a fair bit of experience in actually building with them - I've not tried them myself, so I'm speculating. Just wanted to point out that 'boutique'/OTP wheels are often using all sorts of tricks to achieve strength and stiffness that you can't always take advantage of if you build with conventional hubs/spokes/rims (offset rims, 2:1 spoke counts on the rear, straight pull spokes, wide bladed spokes, rim reinforcement etc. etc.).
