Saw the highlights of the mighty spurs against the Villan's, bit disjointed first thalf, made some chances, but Villa seemed the more likely to score. Benteke will rue that missed headed chance.
Got a fortuitous first goal, but they all count, and then we were looking to hit them on the break, at every opportunity.
Lloris in goal, gives us the ability to play out from the back, rather than Friedels' lump it long approach, he's a better ball player, and suits AVB's style. Getting Adebayor back for the last twenty mins was good as well, again he's the kind of player we need to pull play togther. Wonder whether AVB will play with Defoe just off Ade, or if Defoe is now super sub for the foreseeable, once Ade's back to full match fitness.
Bale's still a little flighty when players come charging at him, I think he'd rather take avoiding action, and feign a foul, than have someone come through on his ankle again. He'll work it out, and the howls of derision are undeserved,,
