But if the top tube starts higher up the seatpost that makes it a bigger frame.
At the end of the day, the point of Lo-Pro geo. is to get bars down low making you more aero.
Top tube needn't slope downward, provided saddle-handlebar distance is the same as you'd have on your road bike, and the flat of a pair of bulls is at the same level as your roadbike drops with the stem slammed (Tester Test).
This can also be achieved with a horizontal normal length top tube and super-short c-c on the seattube. Effective geo. is still the same, but no slope - this is essentially the opposite of a faux-pro...
