Don't see the problem with this. I need to be enlightened... Could be because I'm drunk mind you.

I've got the same saddle however on my Kona.

  • The saddle was obviously poorly locked then.

  • And the D lock is only around the front wheel.

Took me a while to notice that too but upon reflection, it could be a lot worse. It is no way near the best way to use what is at hand and it wouldn't have taken more than a couple of seconds to add a whole extra level of security. However, as it is, it still stops the opportunists, the locks would have to be cut, undoing either of the wheels won't get you a free bike.

  • Got a feeling I forgot to post this when i saw it. Few months back, Kennington

  • I'd expect nothing less from a pie-dished Boredman owner.

  • Sorry no picture.
    Monday morning,
North Harrow tube station bike stand:
    small 'no label' bmx,
    cheap Poundland looking padlock
through what looked like a dog chain
through a pedal and looped round the bike stand tubing.

  • What exactly is that bike for... Step-through, front sus, mudguards, chainguard... ???

  • You should see the bikes at my cities hospital. All the doctors/consultants bikes, bare jokes. They all get mugged off buy the salesmen in Evans.

    Anyhow another couple I saw in the same day;

  • And these people are doctors?

    "Is that heart valve secure?"
    "Yep, I did it myself..."

  • is that the exact same lock on the stand? owner blatantly had their previous bike stolen through their same shitty locking techniques,

  • Course they didnt! That wouldn't have rendered their lock useless. Unless they just decided to punish lock 1 by not simply unlocking it and using it better next time.

  • I strongly suspect that both those bike owners have no lock of their own, so rest the locks that are left on the stands to give the impression that theirs are looked to anyone just glancing at them.

  • ^ This

  • The one before was actually locked to the stand though... just.

You just wanted to give everybody the impression that you'd typed 'locked', right? :)

  • The king of hipsters displaying aweful locking

  • I assume he was close by and wasn't leaving it for long, i do the same thing tbh

  • didn't manage to get a picture but a guy bothered to put 4 D locks on his bike and then left his lights, computer and bags (which looked pretty full) remaining on his bike..

  • outside the job centre:

to be fair, the security bloke came out and questioned me as soon as I showed an interest, so it may not have been in too much danger.

Poor employer fail rather than bad locking fail. What else can you do with a shit cycle area than that?

At least security was on the ball!

  • We have the same brackets at my work and I assume the C2W scheme has just dished out this years vouchers. I've already had to advise people to not lock their bike that way.
