Yep, hard to tell who t-boned who, if anything I'd say Manu. Completely fine imo.

Manu is t-boned, however he doesn't have possession and so it's unlikely to get called (unless the ref is certain that the move wasn't incidental).
The onus is on Piks to avoid Manu by keeping his head up, but at the same time it's a tiny hit at slow speed and Manu should probably just hop away from it/stay up.
If Manu was on the ball or if Piks was travelling at a higher speed, then foul everytime (in Manu's favour).
The old (London) approach would be to say that Manu is impeding Piks and that the advantage lies with Piks (in possession), but this approach has been shot down by all non-Londoners.
If you're the base of the T then you're at fault, no exceptions (even though we all know there are exceptions, but that's a debate for LOBP).

Agreed, the old "no-right-of-way rule" discussion.
I thought Manu was the base of the T in this case, but maybe I'm seeing it wrong.

The front wheel of Piks' bike hits Manu's bike to form the T. Whoever's front wheel is colliding is the base of the T (the "don't ride into people" origins of the T-bone rule).
-
• #1808
Yeah, to me it looked like Manu's wheel hits Piks to form the T (agree with your interpretation, just saw it the other way round).
I'll watch it again.
Edit - Ok, you are right it was a T-bone from Piks.

So you agree that it should have been a ball turn over or disallowed goal? That's how I see it. It wasn't severe but it won them the game at 5 goals to 3, if the goal wasn't scored then I probably would have let it go to keep the game flowing but a goal scored I would call a non goal and reset to l'Equipe.

^polo rules... not videos thread.... BORING

Agreed this is the wrong thread.
Rich you missed the key info:
he doesn't have possession and so it's unlikely to get called
You should also avoid making calls on what might happen and instead you just make calls based on the scenario involved... it's a so-so "mini foul", the fact they get a goal from it is a bit of a shame, but it's not really a big deal (the right decision was made during the moment as it looks pretty incidental/slow).

Nothing wrong here, really low speed collision. Manu is trying to take the ball with a weird back hand move, and clearly don't know how to hop' to avoid such a small hit.
This kind of thing are never, and shouldn't, be called.(fun that lukas think that manu t-boned piks, that's the third guy i heard from who seems to have understand the rule in the exact opposite as me, the two other were William and Manu. anyway, that's a debat point, on a old school rule)

We had this exact talk yesterday night with Hugo, without having watching this (and still not), and for me there is a big difference also between a t-bone/reverse t-bone at low and high speed. Nothing according me at low speed, fault at high speed. For him it was not so clear.
