Tim's bike looks better without the rack and with drop bars. Fact.
This is the HHSB thread right?

yeah I know it's a rat, I took the picture on the Cadence ride...
still, rack does suit it.. (moreso than the one above)

i disagree
Seen this in the flesh, sick bike, but would it be better without the rack? Yes
Racks on tracks is just a fruity thing to do, which is fair enough, just don't know how it caught on so much!

Half the reason I have that is the hope occasionally someone will be bothered by its stupidity. And also how else do you expect me to get my shopping home? If I get mudguards this'll be straight in the functional bikes thread for sure.
PS It's not a rack it's a basket... baskets are way cooler than racks

To be fair yours still smacks it, is possibly even enhanced by the novelty, but that dale needs rescuing

is there really such a problem with backpacks? what about impact on steering, air resistance? i ruined myself in a crash a few years back and rode the missus' pashley for a bit whilst i got sorted. total punishment. is this so different? so fruity.

I ride with a bag every day, admittedly i only do 4.5 miles at a time 4 times a day, which it is fine for. But i bet most don't do more than that anyway.

Dilemma - I planned a long training ride today and opted to take my Condor geared bike. I opened the garage and the front wheel was flat. I couldn't be bothered to change it, so I unbolted the H + Son front wheel off my langster sled and bolted it onto the condor and went out.
Question; have I just turned my condor trainer into a tempory slave for five hours...........?
-
• #11710
An H+ doesn't make a bike a slave. So no.

And at the very least, a picture would need to be posted! ;-)

Jake brown Sir, I will post a picture. I wasn't sure if I'd get my pants pulled down for posting a "readers slave". I'll post a pic, first thing tomorrow. Thanks for your answer, I can sleep tonight.
I must be honest to say, HHSB thread is my favorite on LFGSS. LOL it's so wrong.

I built a rack for front of mine, but that was because the post office is 2mile off and I couldn't fit larger parcels in me rucksack, nor did I want to spend on bus fares... still ain't finished it, but have used it couple of times without death and destruction ensuing, but it needs moar aero and less weight.

• #11719
No rack and less space to carry things equals more trips on the track bike...
I can't see any dilemma's here?!

• #11720
Don't care if its a reep, its still gorgeous! ;D
-
• #11721
I love that

Racks on HHSBs make perfect sense, it means more weight on the front, which in turn means less weight on the back which means sicker skidz all round.

Lol's all round and best rack justification so far. But then you could always get a back brake...equally out of place on a HHSB.
