TK Maxx has been a bit shit of late, they had some fantastic vintage Blue Bell repros a few months back but I couldn't find a 34" anywhere, I tried 3 stores... Bought a pair for Mrs TS, she loves 'em...

^ TK Maxx used to be so good for digging - I picked up a pair, the first thing I've bought there in absolutely ages - the actual leather belt label on the jeans has branding on it - take that off or covered with belt anyway - they're a bit baggy on the top of the legs - a soak and let them dry on might sort that though - alright for the money

When I worked in Croydon, back in the late 90s, I used to pick up LVC, Japanese Evisu and loads of other top-notch denim stuff for pennies then shove it on eBay and get RRP back on it... It is a lot tougher now... Still gutted about those Blue Bells...

Did you buy the Aldens?
Been to get them just now actually, but they've sold! Don't know whether to be annoyed or relieved.

34"
Ahem...

Hehehe... I found a pair of 36" in the Brixton store, took 'em home and they were fucking massive on me... Cunt... :P

To clarify, are you both referring to the MH x Edwins?
No. Sorry. Don't have those.

And they're gone, obviously. Apart from the fact that they're some tasty cone mills, these are really not that special, I don't think. Rather have some Ed-55/47's any day of the week.
I prefer my jeans slightly tapered, so I like them. Last 100 go on sale tomorrow apparently, don't have the monies though.

Up now. I caved.

Yeah Edwin emailed me.
Let me know what they're like when they arrive. Just didn't seem that special to me. Slightly tapered rather than kinda slim? ED-55's are perfect for me, slightly tapered but probably considered slim rather than tapered to be fair.
What size did you go for?
I can't wear normal sized jeans, so any special releases are normally a no go for me. 32 x 30 for me!

Good denim. Don't like their cuts though...

I looked at some in SENY a few months back. Lovely denim but I didn't try any on as they didn't have any in my size. Quality looked good.

Arrived this morning. I got the 28/32. A bit baggier than I would normally go for but a great fit. Like a regular relaxed jean on the thigh and knee but slightly trimmer from the knee down. I've tried a pair of ED-55s before and the taper was too much for me/ they were a bit too slim. I also have a pair of 13oz Nudies and the denim on the Edwins is softer and less stiff.

Anyone want these? ED-71 34w x 30l label size, unwashed and worn a few times by the previous owner. Got them in the post today and realised they are way too big for me to think about shrinking them to fit as they are Sanforized.
I paid £60 posted, so to you for the same....
More pics / deets if you need 'em. PM me.

Almost got a pair of Roy's when they were normal monies, they almost doubled in price when that SF shop picked them up. Sure it's fair though, he seems like a decent fella.

So, I need to get some Edwins taken up, can anyone recommend a tailor or someone who can do this for me properly, ie chainstitch finish, keep the selvedge, retain taper, and not charge the earth (Son of Stag want £20 per pair!).
-
• #899
£20 is good value and the best you'll get for chainstitching
You could always take them to some two bob dry cleaners where a 68yr old Indian lady will do them for £8 and put a pisspoor finish on them

the denim doctor charges £15 but you'll have to post the jeans.
top quality finish and service though.
