Fair point. I mainly want the splined version so I can use up all the singlespeed cogs that I've collected.

IIRC Halo recommend you don't use normal single speed cogs, as they're too thin and they'll bite into the splines and damage them. Their cogs are something like 4mm thick at the bottom
