need an SOS help; had a bad flu over the weekend recovering from it, thanks to the antibiotics nothing tastes good, cant eat solid food, thin soups would be my thing atm, where can I eat that is not too far from W1 or N4 .. Pho seems like an option, anything else?

Poor you. Are you calling out for dishes or locations, or both? I'll give both. (and locations, sorry I know my hood!)
Congee, as my mum would prescribe. Doesn't "taste" like much so you're not missing out. Most Chinese restaurants, try Gold Mine or Four Seasons. Maybe Cafe East for Viet - Pho?
If you want to try a flavour shock, laksa or tom yum (it's got solids tho) - C&R on Westbourne Grove or Soho.
I swear by miso, also good for (my) hangovers, so udon noodle soups? (also solids are prevalent)Get well soon.
^ oh its all not posh though

Hello, I need a nice place to eat, preferably Sushi or anywhere Halal. It would be nice to have a nice view from the Window, and easy to get to with public transport. I have a date and do not often eat outside at really nice places. I am not even sure if this is the right thread, but I think it is.
Please help by today because I need to tell her where, when and what the dress code is. Thank you.

Can anyone help me? I need to find some more private dining options for work events. We usually use the Savoy, Pied a Terre, Gauthier, Roux at the Landau and Hibiscus. We need some more options.
It should be fine dining (michelin star preferable) with a private dining room and single table large enough for about 14 guests. Options need to be in Central London.
Anyone? Thanx in advance. -

OK it wasn't too posh after all, but fully booked on Friday. Something like that was an ideal location and menu she said. Argh.
I shall look at Mashton's place.

so phone them back and plead that you have a personally important impression you'd really love to make, and if there's any incentive or early/late service, seat by the door that they could possibly offer.. what have you got to lose?
plead, grovel, beg, ingratiate yourself, offer them a kidney (hers, not yours)

Okay well she got a little fed up at suggestions and gave me a place called Adiva, which is Turkish and Lebanese. I promised to do Sushi and book it on a next date. She wanted Sushi because she doesn't like meat, but I messed it up this time around. She did say she may eat meat off my plate if she wants some.
Thank you loads for the effort guys. I am loving this forum more and more, the more active I become.

Food is pretty good there, the lift to get there leaves your stomach on the floor as it shoots up. It's raphaesc in it's pricing
