Not that I've ridden one, but the Charge Filter Apex might be worth a punt. Saw one in the flesh last week - quite a pretty bike. Wiggle are doing small and medium sizes for £699 which strikes me as a very fair price. You've then got change from £1000 for a Wound-up CF fork :)
