  • You talk the talk DJ, but you don't walk the walk, hence why you like internet forums so much. Match made in heaven for you.

Dude you don't know what you are talking about.

James has recently learnt to control his anger (relatively speaking)... Do some searching on this forum and you will read lots of accounts of him walking the walk.

Mostly picking fights with car drivers...

  • Presuming yourself to be a better cyclist and preaching to others is not taking responsibility for yourself, more self righteous prick.

You keep objecting to people pointing out other's apparent mistakes, but i don't understand what you do want. Would you rather rules were only enforced by police, or that there be no rules and/or enforcement at all, or some other possibility i've missed out?

  • best to try not to engage with her, she appears a little hard of thinking

  • Guy on a multicolour fixed (with front end green and back end white) lock around waist and a gold helmet, turning left off bow rd on to Fairfield rd. nice skid, not so nice RLJ'ing

  • You cunts stop presuming your superior cyclists and STFU.

    How about... No.

Now, you go and have a nice rest of your day lil' fella.

    This.

Is DJ picking fights with drivers preferable to someone RLJing or taking a different road position to your preference?

    No one has suggested this.

Even giving you the benefit of the doubt for you're original intentions you seem to have fallen into the trap of trying to win an argument on the internet. So far you have focused on semantics, twisted peoples arguments, set up straw man arguments and even invoked the "you're a Daily Mail reader" defence, which is really a soft form of Godwins Law. Did you learn you're trolling from a book?

  • did you learn your trolling from a book?

    ftfy.

  • Just had one on commute home, some random on a red langster, its wet, really wet, lots of standing water and hidden drain covers etc. I.E. the perfect time to ride up mine (and others) insides, swerve in front, then slam on the brakes for lights only to run them anyway in a weird awe-quad manor

  • I got the train today, sat down and started reading my book, then a very fat lady sat next to me and almost shot me into the aisle.

She'd literally occupied half of my seat.

So, I spent the rest of the journey perched on the half of my seat that had not been engulfed by her voluminous buttock, whilst she (tru fax) speed-read a magazine seemingly dedicated to cakes.

I kept expecting her to start frantically licking the pages of glossy cake photographs.

Anyway, I am calling her out as a poor commuter.

  • Fatist!

  • I think its about time good cyclists call out that bad.. or even just a quiet word alongside them.. hey do you know your doing this.. its a bit dangerous.. although am sure with some of the muppets who have crossed my path, it'll fall on deaf ears.. really concerns me the level of people cycling with earphones.. hate being the old man tut-tutting in the group, but its just asking for trouble... =(

  • Ditto to the RLJers on road bikes wearing Rapha at the outer circle.
I seriosuly don't understand why they won't stop, it's not like they're riding a heavy steel bike with 1 gear, no breaks and no freewheel, They have plenty of stopping power and can shift down to start up again, and they ride those light as fuck road bikes.

  • Strava segments innit.

  • The other day, I told a bloke on a single-speed to get a front brake.

  • The other day, I told a bloke on a single-speed to get a front brake.

What are you ? - the law ?

  • I developed turrets this morning. Just started swearing at all the new twat bike commuters upsetting all the car drivers, just making it worse for the rest of us.

  • No one has suggested this.

You are arrogant enough to think you're a superior cyclist to others and therefore preach to them at every given opportunity, fine, you win, I am a troll.

  • You are arrogant enough to think you are superior to people on here and therefore preach to us.

You are a little short on self awareness.

  • You are conscientious enough to think to give what you believe to be sound advice to others - and therefore attempt to keep them safe and improve the image of cyclists in the view of the general public - at every given opportunity, fine, you win, I am a troll.

    At least you admit it.

  • Turrets you say? That is an extreme reaction.

Can we start a list and hand out special spoke cards to all these good cyclists?

    Do I add you?

  • why are you so bothered by this? has someone called you out for being an idiot on the road?

  • You are arrogant enough to think you are superior to people on here and therefore preach to us.

Not really James, I am not preaching, I am bringing a different perspective. I take the line of 'let be'. Rather like religion, each to there own, I am very happy with that, but I don't want you knocking on my front door with 'yours'.

I think there is a difference between sharing opinion on a cycling forum and pushing ones views upon strangers in public.
