yep, rubbish logo.
there were a couple of potato chops on ph - it looked alright in black, but i can't get over the stupid cartoon character grin. it looks like the stay puff monster from ghostbusters.

in other news, i have been in wales for uni since wednesday, and when i pulled into cardiff yesterday, the awesome sound of metal on metal reared it's ugly head. pads fucked. by the time i got back to london tonight, the front left disc was shredded.
but, wheel bearings turned up while i was away, so i now have everything for the switch to bolt on wheels and new brakes. 'sept tyres.
woo.

that's hot, too.
Not nearly as hot as a Jensen Interceptor - the best back-ends / rear windows bar none.

Last Saturday I was driving this at 187mph
To offset that, did 87 miles on the fixie on the Sunday :)

The F Type is here and it is lovely:
I think it looks like the Maserati 3200.
I really don't understand the attraction with Jags. They'll always be the poor cousins in the sports car/gt world. Their designs are hardly cutting edge and their residual values are worse than a housing estate in Tyneside.
And then there's the unmistakeable whiff of "golf club" and cheap cigars about them. Clarkson was right - they always seem to be driven by people on the edge of financial ruin, cads and bounders.

What would be the best car to drive on London's Drive to Work Day on 11th December?

Murray T.27, seats 3.

if we can include oldtimers, the interceptor wouldn't get a look in, in my book.

B&D- heritage, I would say. That and they are meant to be quite good cars these days, post ford.

I love the current range - the XF, XJ and this F type at any rate. If I was the type to buy an upmarket saloon car I would absolutely have one over a BMW (which are common as muck these days and no longer really anything special) or a Merc (which all look like Hyundais nowadays). And as for Audi, they are a joke; posh VW bought by salesmen.
Never been keen on the XK though. That is golf clubby.I didn't like anything launched since Ford bought them though. All those old man retro cars. I absolutely lust after the XJ-S V12 though, and have a soft spot for XJ40s (not that I am ever likely to buy one)
Not keen on older Jags though. Mk2s aren't all that, and E-types are nice to look at in series 1 guise but that's it. The only old one I would love is a long-nose D type, which is one of the most beautiful things ever, but I'm not a millionaire so will never own one.
I detest golf and only smoke expensive hand-rolled cuban cigars.

I'm not so sure about this. For a long time I thought the XK8 had a tough crowd when up against the DB7. But when I see one now, it has an air of elegance and timelessness that the Aston seems to lack.
As for Clarkson. The man should be listed under 'bounder' and 'cad' in the Oxford English.

I don't like the XF, has a whiff of Vauxhall about it, front end is all wrong for me, but I love the new XJ. Love em or hate em Tata have done a great job of boosting Land Rover, looks like they are turning their attention to Jag now.
I think the original XK8 is a future classic.
One thing I don't like is how they are slapping on too many go faster bits to the current XK, the XKR-S looks like the editor of Max Power gave it a once over.

I go away for one day and there's serious chat on here!
New Jag? No thanks.

Someone on Pistonheads poptatochopped all the vents off the F Types bumper and it looks a lot better
I have only just realised the light clusters are Mclaren 'swoosh' logos.
Which kinda makes it even worse for me.
