I've been having some tech talks with him as I've had some problems with one of mine. He is very good with troubleshooting. :-)
When I've been out at night most cyclists do a double take when they see me. Even had two guys in a car slow down along side me and ask where I got them from!

I think we should definitly do a group ride out

New boards are available for order. So I ordered one.. hehe

I like the new battery clip arrangement. I've ended up putting an elastic band round mine to stop the things turning off.

Might order one of these. Might be a solution to the 'On here?' dilemma.

Away for a week so will install them 2nd Oct, should be nice and dark in the evenings then

Oh yeah... That looks quality.
Any other crap far east e-bay stuff you'd like to post?
Fricking lazers... Only good enough for sharks in my opinion.
-
• #110
I'd seen them before, now the Far east clones are coming onto market. I've never seen them on the roads, I thought it might be worth the price of two pints of lager.

^ True. I shouldn't be so dismissive.
Sorry...

I think the theory is good, but at that price, whenever I've seen 'lasers' advertised, their strength is greatly exaggerated. My guess is you'd do well to get even a feint line on the ground and by the time a driver is close enough to see it, they're probably too close. Still, the idea is good.

Probably be seen as a challenge by some drivers, "Get as close as I can"
Be better to have real lasers that you could shine in driver's faces so they melt like the nazis in that film with Harrison Ford, I think it was called "The Nazis Whose Faces Melted"

I thought that was blade runner.

I've just ordered a pair of the leduswheelus lights. Looking forward to their arrival now.
-
• #116
Mine arrived today (from Belarus, of all places!). Looking forward to trying them out.
-
• #117
me too... the lack of visibility generally driving through central London with two bikes on the back of the car and all the rain yesterday convinced me being more visible can't be a bad thing..
-
• #118
Seems like the Ledus lights are highly rated then! Glad it's the little guy that's making an impression. I can't believe how few larger companies have realised the necessity of visibility from the side. What could be worse than being blindsided by motorist and then being told that you didn't take adequate measures to ensure visibility from all angles. Yikes.

on the trailers bit at then end/start of Dragon's Den on Sunday night they showed a half second clip of something similar so I guess someone is doing/is about to do something similar over here - don't know if it's been on the show yet

I shot a tech conference in Cambridge that had a little company with whole wheel sets, their plan was to sell it as an advertising gimmick!
very effective

• #121
Visibility wise that is..
-
• #122
Are they not just using the pro monkeylectric lights?
These ones - http://www.monkeylectric.com/video_pro_wheel_screen/

looks like it!

hah! my lights have arrived today, now to get them onto the bike, and then tested in the dark...
I've tried connecting them to my pc here, and it's not seeing them as connected.
This may be due to the fact that I'm running them over a micro to mini converter, but has anyone else run into this as an issue? It might also be because this PC is more locked down than the one at home...
They seem to be getting power, as they cycle through the light settings, but the PC isn't seeing them. Any ideas? I'll try them at home with a non-converted lead, but was hoping to play at lunchtime :)

I just tried re-connecting them and it worked fine. Also, make sure the unit is switched on before you connect the USB cable.
I had a quick chat with the chap on twitter last night. He's waiting for new (and improved) boards to arrive from the factory, but if anyone desperatly wants some (I'm happy to wait), prod him, and he may be able to arrange it.
