Has anyone ever got anything from Urban Legend?

Exchanged my 31" cotton 3/4s for 32" in the skinny version. I don't normally suit skinny fit anythings, but such is the benefit of seeing stuff in the flesh. Much much better fit. Although snug it seems I still need a belt due to the stretch in the waist though.

Creux Cycling (Melbourne based) are making some brand new women's products, including jeans for riding a bike in.
They used me as a guinea pig for the denim, and I've gotta say, I'll be buying a couple more pairs once they're released. I never ride in jeans, as I find them too restrictive, and / or bum-showy, but these jeans have been seriously awesome.
Should be released soooooooonnnn... although they've been in the pipeline for a while now. Keep an eye out.

Ladies of Lfgss, do any of you know where I could purchase a set of the Stella Mcartney bib shorts? (S)
I'm also looking for some sort of lady gel flow type thing.
Thanks

Probikekit are doing them in your size: http://www.probikekit.com/uk/clothing/team-clothing/adidas-team-gb-cycling-bib-shorts-2012.html
Good retailer, according to the Hive Mind of LFGSS (but haven't personally bought from them)

I spotted those while scouring the internet and they aren't the same, these ones aren't team gb kit, like this...

can i ask what's so special about stella's bibs that you want them?
-
• #511
They are for my girlfriend, who saw them and the design appealed to her, the short legs and low cut on the hips probably..
She isn't what you would call a keen cyclist, I have tried getting her in lycra before and struggled, and we are going to be embarking on some very light touring in September so she certainly needs some padded bibs.
-
• #512
I was asking only because i haven't seen them anywhere or on anyone and was wondering why it needs to be that specific bib short.
Most of the women bib shorts come with a short leg so i don't think you'll have a problem here.
I guess that if she's not a keen cyclist and she's not so keen on lycra that it probably needs to be something that'll appeal to her visually.
Tried ana nichoola? She has some padded shorts and there's more new stuff coming soon.
As for stella's bibs, there's quite few looking similar - with the single strap in the front and short leg.

I don't quite understand why "light touring" = need bibs?
Why not just padded shorts under whatever she feels comfortable in, if she isn't a lycra fan...? I've done 70-80 odd miles in padded shorts and normal shorts...
-
• #514
Personally, I find them most comfortable. More than light touring it's going to be me carrying a shitload of bags and making the ride as easy and comfortable as possible for her, it's only 3 days, with around 75km each day and a 56km tt in the middle somewhere, then a few days in Paris...

I've never worn bibs. 80 miles in decent shorts under a skirt or regular loose shorts is okay for me. 'light touring' with an infrequent cyclist (50miles every other day but quite hilly) I did without cycling specific stuff just normal shorts but you would want to be carrying padded stuff in case that didn't work out. I would suggest making sure the set up of the bike is as comfortable as possible (body/arm reach as well as hand reach and weight distribution) is more important - and an appropriate saddle. The women's specific Specialized ones start quite cheap and suit me well, you might want to check out the women's saddle thread on here somewhere.
also - 56km tt - srzly?!
-
• #516
Yep, saddle and correct fit are definitely first on the list, she has ridden a rolls, some lady specific sofa and a concor before, and got on best with the rolls funnily enough..
It's only 35 miles ;)

having been sitting around in them for the last hour, they still feel tight, might need to exchange... bah.
Hello - new to this so hope you don't mind me jumping in! I make clothes or rather I recycle clothes and am looking for models for a new line of CITYwear cycling clothes for women. Is anyone in London, King's Cross, Angel, City??
-
• #518
Do you have a link to any of the garments? By models do you mean volunteers?
-
• #519
London shops not online stuff
Is there a good store for women's goretex trousers? Thanks very much.
-
• #520
^^^ I live in Angel, would possibly be interested. Would I get free cycle clothes for my pains?
-

Pick Scoot. I saw the picture of her wearing Swrve's cycling shorts and promptly shelled out £100+ on gym membership and those shorts.

Just a heads up that Chrome (the bag people) are having an overstock sale. The women's windbreaker, hoodie and 3/4 WWR knickers are all half price.

• #523
^^ Haha, thanks for the compliment!

Hijacking this thread too (why does it feel so naughty?!) to ask if there are any ladies on here who'd like to order a totally awesome lfgss ladies' forum jersey, designed by our own fair forumenger Scoot after some very intellectual team brain storming.
Final unit cost depends upon how many we order.

I bought these for a race last weekend:
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-ladies-aeron-race-34-cycling-bib-short/
And although I kinda liked them, I must say that the aren't as padded as the guys version!! And also - who the f designs the padding? It doesn't look as if there's any though behind it what so ever. And I had to use a hair band to get the straps to stay between my boobs (Why would anyone want to ride with them over the boobs?!?)That said, I still have to admit that I like them. Thay are 3/4 (love that), they stay up, they are OK padded, and they are flattering. Yes. My ass look better with them on, that in the nude. (That may say more about my ass then about the pants though, but still...)
having been sitting around in them for the last hour, they still feel tight, might need to exchange... bah.
