  • 26th, 27th & 28th October Ride! Confirmed list!!

    -BlueQuinn (Triumph)
    -CoppiThat (BMW)
    -veLLo & T4NY4 (Suzuki)
    -kuba (loud Triumph)
    -Vanuden (please confirm!)

OK almost everybody has confirmed, I spoke to CoppiThat yesterday who confirmed he would have his passport ready on time. Thanks BlueQuinn and Kuba for confirming on the thread. Tanya's in too, presumably on the 1100G with me. Vanuden are you still on?

Marky, no chance of joining still? Come on!

Of course more names are welcome! (Jambon on your new bike maybe?)

OK, I know a 4 day trip was requested by BlueQuinn, but I'm not sure I could do this, plus with accomodation it starts becoming a bit pricey.

I suppose we are still going to Saint Malo. I suggest the following agenda:
-Thursday 25th October, we meet in Parsons Green (like last year) for a departure around 20h00. Boat departs at Portsmouth at 23h00.
-Friday 26th October, arrival in Le Havre at 8h00 am. Breakfast at some nice caf (as opposed to last time it won't be holiday times and on a friday everything should be openned). We can travel west at a nice comfy pace, and have lunch around Coutances in La Manche, were my parents live. I don't want to invite us all for lunch my mum would stress to much and it would be too much work, but maybe aperitif. I'm sure they would be able to recommend some nice restaurant. We can then reach Saint Malo in the evening, take our rooms, dinner, drinks and whatever.
-Saturday 27th October. To be decided. We can ride around and find nice places to visit / nice roads. A friend of mine who is a biker and leaves not far could join us, recommend some good routes maybe? Are we staying saturday night in Saint Malo or should we find another place? (to be discussed)
-Sunday 28th October. Wherever we wake up, we can make our way back peacefully to Le Havre, stopping for food, site viewing... Back to le Havre for boarding at 17h00, arrival in Porthmouth at 21.30 (I know BlueQuinn was not so keen on travelling late like this, especially since it may be quite cold this time of year, and possibly raining... But otherwise we may loose some time in France...? Any suggestion? http://ldlines.co.uk/ Please have look and bring alternatives...)

OK this is just a basic preliminary thing. I did not join the last ride to Saint Malo but those who did may want to suggest something.

    Lets the brainstorming begin!
