In my opinion you killed the bike with that hideous stem... Loved the green wheels tbh...

I think the green wheels were hideous!
I wouldn't stickerbomb it, give it some hideous rattlecan multicolour fade paintjob instead, it would be much more unique. Quite like the cranks as they are as well, they go well with the black/silver of the rest of it.
Just go back on the track and enjoy it!

Got told by one of my coaches at Newport track that I needed a longer stem.
You'd do the same if you got told the same advice by a well known and successful track coach wouldn't you?
I liked the green wheels, it just got really hideous after a while haha.

A rattlecan multicolour fade paintjob sounds really, really bad...
I guess I may keep the crankset after all, I also saw another full build with my frame on here.

Yes.
But you could've strayed away from a hideously ugly one!

And covering it with stickers...?
Sounds like something you'd do with your lunch box when you're seven.
At least a multi-fade would be a little different:
You can't say a load of stickers would look better than that!

It's all I had at the time, plus I cared more about my positioning than looks haha, (although I know it does look awful). That's why I'm currently looking for some oversize bars (I want to get some pursuit bars) to accommodate my oversize stem.

I've bought a stickerbomb book from amazon, it boasts that they meet up with 'professional artists' from around the world. The stickers don't seem that childish in this book to me but the concept is childish I guess lol.
This is what I've got:

And no offence but I think that looks like a really bad paintjob... I'd have a stickerbomb over that, haha.

As a "stickeur" i must advice you to stay away from sticker books or kits like that.. You can/should only use stickers that comes with parts you buy or from stores you buy stuff from. Skate or band stickers are allways okay, fixie bike blogs that sell stickers are sort of ok but should be peeled of a soon as you get better ones. Supreme sticker should be avoided, you can't even put on a ironic supreme sticker anymore.
Further more you can't really sticker bomb a whole bike, It will only look like your'e trying to hard.
You should start with lets say the seat tube and cover it and then move on as you get more stickers. Ideally some stickers should look fresh and some almost worn of by wear and tear..(Oh!My 2000 page book about how to sticker a bike is in the book stores now!)

Do you have any pics of your projects or any good examples? I am currently stickering a bike as I couldn't live with a tribal design which was painted on the frame (as standard).

I stickerbombed my first fixed gear when I was even younger than I am now :O
And I have regretted it since and began stripping the frame yesterday to build up for my little brother. -

But you can have pics of my stickerbombed snowboards for inspiration :)

Kdregg that sounds great, I hate supreme so I'm never going to stick any of their stickers or obey anywhere either.
I'm going to be using the stickerbooks because I like them and I spent the money on them so why not? It's a cheap frame, it's scratched, it's dented etc... I want to get a new frame for my fixie anyway, and I've always wanted to stickerbomb a frame, so I don't get why people are being negative about it.
Question: I'm going to use a lacquer coating over the top of the stickers... Apparently it ruins the paper stickers is this true?
-

Hey it's your bike and i wasn't really that serious about it either, go for it..!
Regarding your lacquer question, You could always slap a sticker on something and test coat it and see what happens..

man it looked better before with the green wheelset and whatever else you changed out... made it no bueno...

finger paint it
Hey there. I bought this from Futurecycles Lewes 2 years ago, I never really added anything on to it...
Here's a series of photos, I'll add rough dates on them.
July 2010, I got Matt (he's a member on this forum) to put track drops on, take rear brake off and set it up as a fixie, sorted out a decent crankset too. I put my own saddle on it, as I didn't like the standard one.

June 2011, I did track racing for a bit. Was successful at the start (school commuting helped a lot riding a fixed through a hilly town) but gradually got worse due to laziness as winning came easy at the beginning.

July 2012, I hadn't ridden or been anywhere near road bikes as much since starting college in September 2011... Gave the bike a bit of a clean.

September 2012, I'm getting back into fixies again. Addicted to LFGSS for-sale section, bought a set of wheels off "Cheescake" on here, got myself a black seatpost, charge saddle (wanted one for years).
http://i49.tinypic.com/2d9wyub.jpg
So that's the story up until now, my next plan is to get black cranks, some Deda crono nero low rider bars, I've got a black 105x10 oversize orbea stem (with logos wire-wooled off).
I'm pondering over the idea of stickerbombing the frame, I've got all the stickers for it. The frame is scratched and has a small dent on the top tube from it falling over and hitting a pole, it's amazing how devastating it is to hear the metallic 'CLANG' of a unscratched and undented bike... (it happened when I was locking it up).
So, I'm now asking for your opinions...
1) Stickerbomb the frame?
2) What black crankset would you recommend me?
Thanks for looking. :)
