  • I have a cateye opticube you can borrow.

  • Opened that useless thing I had on my bars, the contacts were totally corroded, and the batteries were fresh as a daisy when back in my magic mouse. Would anyone be so kinda as to recommend+link to decent front lights for next time?

@Ben: What'd you have again? I've forgotten already!

  • I've just become the owner of a Garmin, and I know the TNRC routes exist as GPX's could someone point me in their general direction, rather than me trawling through 46 pages, as I'd like to upload them and spend some time getting the miles in over the winter..

    I thank you

  • BMMF posted them in last year's thread;

    http://www.lfgss.com/post1990472-14.html

  • andyp, you star...

    thank you

I'll probably be back tomorrow asking how I can get them from the web to my garmin,...

  • ^ Garmin Connect, Corny! The only way I've found to be consistently reliable. But I am a luddite, so might not be best indicator.

  • just copied them direct onto the sd card, and lo they have appeared.. Not sure its all the routes, but it should be enough to be going on with. Just need to search the map and see which train station I need to get off at..

  • incidentally all the routes are up here in GPX also:

    https://www.dropbox.com/home/Public/Rides

on a 705 you put them in teh GPX folder within the Garmin folder. On an 800 you put them in the newfiles folder which then converts them.

I've been having some issues with the 800, I miss my 705. Corny if you're interested I can help you whack OpenStreetMaps for the whole of the UK and/or europe on your Garmin. They're more up to date than the old NAVTEQ maps Garmin use.

  • Did someone say Kent 1? As in tomorrow?

Kent 1 next week. Route up tonight/tomorrow.

Hopefully Des is out of the negative pressure iron lung for this one.

Things healed up nicely thanks. So, if it's Kent 1 are you putting the trains up... I can do it later today if you aren't around. Any locals around to lead who know the route?

we spotted owls, foxes and badgers. Inc. one that decided to run alongside Ludwig for a good 50 meters. I think he was trying to knock Lud off.

    Bastards.

  • whoah 6pt to grace us with his presence. What about the other half ?

  • Every time she aims for a TNRC something catastrophic inevitably happens. I shall have a word.

  • I can't work out at which stations that train stops.
    does it stop at Lewisham?
If not I'll pick it up at Catford too.
