I'll order one of those tools and try...got to be less painful...if it doesn't work I'll take it to a bike shop.
Other thing that's crept up...I thought the bike was dark green after the very quick clean it had earlier it's actually black! No I don't want a black bike so does anyone have suggestions on what colours might suit a vintage rebuild?
I got a quote back from Bob Jackson to paint the frame...
Single Color Enamel £90.00
Colored head tube £19.00
Multipanel Seat tube £35.00
Lugs Lined £25.00
Transfers and fitting £60.00 This price is a guess and includes the World Champ bands on Seat Tube Panels, Period 531's, Custom trans ( Which Will be vinyl ) and Viking Trans
So approx £229.00 plus return P/P if required.
Not sure I can go that high for this build so might look at getting the local place to sand/respray I'll do the decals and highlight the lugs then get them to apply the clear coats...think that will be about £120 inc the decals...[FONT=Arial][SIZE=2]
