  • I'm thinking of heading out to view one of the stages, Caerphilly seems like a good option, it's 2 hours away (by car) but the riders will come through 3 times in quick succession and the climb sounds interesting, but it's on a Friday which is more difficult (but not impossible) with work.

The other option would be Guildford, but the riders only pass through twice and there is a couple of hours in-between and it's still just over an hour and a half away.

I've never been to watch a race in person but think it would be fun and I would like to show support for the general mood for cycling in the UK this summer - does anyone have any advice such as how long in advance to be there, or would I just be better off showing my support by turning on the TV in the evening?
