^^ happy memories!! when we were kids our dad used to take us on an annual Mayday ride round the IOW
The Ventnor - Shanklin leg was a killer - IIRC there are zigzags up from the beach at Ventnor followed by a long drag up and monster descent back down again - I ran 48x18 fixed back in those days and was pretty much trackstanding coming off that beach!
