  • And I wouldn't bank on the kit retaining much value...

  • about as much as the art degree...

  • I wish I had the motivation to restore an Amazon wagon.

  • This one is amazing- the chap used a number of rusty Amazons to create it, which (as one of the donor cars was a two door) is now a sort of estate coupe.

  • Kit car vs drink+birds+fun

both equally expensive I reckon. At least the car retains some value afterwards.

    A dutton.....ha ha ha ha.

  • There are two different Amazons on the south circular that need to be saved. One from streatham hill to norwood stretch. A yellow one.

The other is blue and has 2 series wheels from catford towards can't remember.

  • That camber needs correcting.

  • Fixed driveshafts say no.

  • How do I like images from google maps?

  • Awesome

    This has huge potential

Always wondered how safe that conversion is how useful it is. In the sense of how much can it carry.

  • for the volvo heads...

    and one for me...evo wagon...

    and a legacy.......

    ...ok i'll stop now...its okay.......gotta stop dreaming.....

  • There's only one Volvo Head. Your use of the plural wasn't necessary...

Are you entirely sure about that?

You have to remember that the vast majority of kit cars, especially older pre-sva kit cars are shit. They are ugly as sin, made badly, and bolted together by amateurs out of bits from the scrap yard

  • Ugh! Why would you do that?
    To a perfectly good car.

This rat look thing mystifies me. Why you would deliberately want your car to rust is beyond me.

That is cool, I'd just need to add some tie-downs for bikes in the back.

I wonder if it'll go for that price- bit niche, so not sure if that'd hold the price down or drive it up.

I imagine it would go quite fast with my turbo five in it.

  • and a legacy.......

My dad used to own a mid 90s Legacy Estate STi, used to roll to school in it every now and again. Such a nice car and all my school friends knew nothing about cars, someone overheard me talking about racing a MK3 VR6 in it and piped up, "In that green box? You're an idiot, you're making it up." I didn't even have to ask him for a race, he challenged me himself. Poor little 1.2 Fiesta didn't know what happened to it.

    Yeah and?

    Made some interesting finds.

There was a TT looking metro conversion that was SVA's and had shocking welding, or bird shit as its known.

  • Ordinata, what's your project about? I have a degree in automotive design; I'm happy to talk to you about it.

  • Thanks. It's just a styling exercise I was playing with in my spare time.

What did you do with your degree? (if you don't mind me asking) :o)

  • I've seen my car. I only have shitty iPad pictures and can't upload them from it.

It's so beautiful I was nearly sick.

I'll take some proper photo's and get them up. Somehow.
