Mebbe going down the toilet was harsh, but they got rid of a driver that could do it in any car ( see this season) for a driver that NEEDS the rIght car.

I'll bet they dont win a championship with button or di resta.

The trouble with drivers who can drive the wheels off anything, is that generally they aren't very helpful in developing a competetive car (Schumacher is a notable exception), whereas drivers who perform best with a particular setup are usually good at development and testing.

With Honda/Brawn, when they decided to abandon their competetiveness and devote all their resources to developing the next season's car Jenson's experience contributed hugely to that, and even with the compromise of an engine swap after Honda pulled out it became a championship winning car.
