I'm a bit tight and not really into spending my first day off in a month wandering around a shopping centre spending money on tasteless crap. Southbank looks good, plus the gf loves the idea of a choccie festival on today. Will probably try and get to spitalfields too. Cheers for loads of responses super quick!

From Southbank you could walk over to London Bridge, then Tower Bridge or futher. I love the river.
