I have a galaxy s2 and most of the time strava works fine. Occasionally it can't find gps signal, but other than that it's fine. Maybe uninstall and reinstall? The app got updated quite recently.

@splutter; I had that problem on my Desire S for a while - try downloading GPS Test and using that before a ride, it sorted the problem out for me.

Well I went up there on a modern road bike with about 3 weeks notice and did it in 1 hour 50 minutes having done the Malaucene side that morning. I do a fair bit of road riding though!
Do the Malaucene side if you get a chance! It's a completely different challenge. I think it's probably a bit easier overall, though it does have a nasty 4k in the middle of the climb which sticks around 13%. It does flatten off after that though!Took your advice, and tried the Malaucene route this morning, good fun that! Legs felt shit first thing but the climb isn't that bad and the descent put a massive, shit eating grin on my face. 86.3kmph downhill, overtaking cars in the sun. Beautiful.

I've had 4 "uh-oh"s today. All of them from people clearly with their garmins on in the car after a ride. 45 mph up a steep hill for a mile. 900w for 40 mins. That sort of thing. Either Contador's butcher has opened a shop in Kent or...
Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone else gets a lot of these as I seem to be getting them with increasing frequency. Usually a friendly comment gets them sorted, but not always.

Lost a KOM by 30s only for the ride to have mysteriously vanished by the time I got round to clicking the link in the email.

Just flag it up. Strava are pretty good at stopping people's "efforts" like that

Hm, strava.com's registrar is godaddy who are having problems, although their DNS servers are on Amazon.
GoDaddy have been having problems today I hear, so maybe it's related to that?
Bring me the head of Joe Krancki.
