Anyone know if tomorrow's training is sprint practice for this Wednesday's TL match sprint ladder.

Just to check. What time do people arrive? Does it start at 7, but you can warm up from 6. So arrive between 6-7. Or does it start at 6?

I won't be there this evening but if I was I'd aim to be there for 6.30 ready to start at 7pm

Great session yesterday. So different to saturday. Really enjoying my time at HH.

I had fun tonight! Even if I did get stung in the head by a wasp and my seat post clamp failed.
It seems my failings are a temptation to hoon it off too early and a lack of bottle when people start overtaking me on the outside on the last lap or two. I just don't fancy crashing, especially as it's just training, but really would like to win a training race just once. I was on the black Leader, with black kit and a Kask lid on, in case anyone is wondering.
Should I get drunk first?

Early hooning is a common symptom of inexperienced bike racers and virginal young men so if you are older just do the last few laps like you would your partner and if you are young learn to delay the fun.

Sorry, couldn't resist, so here's the serious answer... Stay calm, sit in between 4th and 8th place til the last lap then stay alert and get on any thing that look serious going by. Do not get stuck, get out before you get shut down but still on a wheel then jump with 50 meters left unless your very strong and you can go earlier. Good luck!

^That's more like it. Getting stuck is definitely the right way to describe it! I think I commit myself to the red line too early and that's when I have to sit there are watch everyone pass me, knowing I could keep their pace but having nowhere to go. Cheers dude, roll on next Monday.

Is it ok to turn up on a Monday night as a spectator? I'm heading over on Saturday for a beginners' session but I live so close I'd like to come over and support a bit more.
-
• #1140
yes, spectators are welcome
-
• #1141
Actually I'd say spectators were more welcomed at race meets!

From memory (last years) I thought it lasted later than that... I am angry at myself I missed all these trainings over the last 3 months. What a lazy lump I am!

First time for a long time for me too as I said above... Last time was probably in June... What bike were you on? (I was on the flashy pink/yellow/white/green MBK)
Loic
Sunset tomorrow 21:16, so still plenty of time for race training.
