The car was stationary btw, that artist's impression makes it look as if she cut me up. Need to work on my perspective.

You also need to add poo.

Turns out she lives just round the corner form me (and my Mrs.). Sorry about the lack of dog poo.
What does it cost to replace the red plastic cover bit of the rear light of a Nissan 4x4 thingie do you reckon?

£80 on ebayhttp://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?ff3=2&pub=5574889051&toolid=10001&campid=5336525415&item=110958611356&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER], probably about £120 from a dealer. Assuming that it is the model in the photo.

Accidentally put this in 'oh shit moments' - I think because of the poo requirement.
Not quite a collision - except between me and the ground.

^ Your saddle must be so high!

Lo Pro?

ha! I had an oh shit! moment on the Brighton slave ride, had a messenger type bag on with no stabiliser strap and it rotated round when I was bombing down the final hill into brighton..
hope you're OK!

I'm not sure if the hill I'm on is clear from my highly detailed diagram - my saddle isn't that high really - but my rucksack was loaded and that in combination with the hill tipped me over the endo balance point that I momentarily found. I'm fine, just feel like a nob. As it happened I felt like it was my fault as I felt that I had not been cautious enough, but as I think about it now, the driver ahead driving down the wrong side of the road, then suddenly stopping and reversing without looking and using both lanes was also a bit of a shower. Definitely reminded me that it's important to assume the worst of a driver that seems to be doing anything remotely silly.
I ought to mention that the driver was very concerned that I was all right, and not at all bothered about the bike stacked neatly against his car.

I was wearing one, thankfully. I'd have a sore noggin now otherwise.
Lesson of the day: cones are put out for a reason. Ignore them at your peril.
