• Now that I am back in Brisbane I have some time to write a proper thank you wrap up.

Significant thanks and kudos are owed to Jono. Attaching HB to the London Open meant the workload for pulling the event together was shared and manageable on the weekend itself, but it also meant Jon bore the brunt of a lot of the organisation/running of the tournament. For this we praise you, and recognise how epic your workload was to make both events happen. I hope I was a worthy assistant/2IC.

John H - did you even get to enjoy any of the weekend? You are scheduling king and the ultimate volunteer. I particularly enjoyed the 'don't feed h bomb' sign, and hoped people gave you a break from their incessant questioning. I can't say thank you enough for all your hard work, I am sure the whole community feels the same.

Adrienne - Fantastic work on the graphics, and for being a behind the scenes ninja organiser.

Bill - Thank you for ALL the hardwork you contributed. Reffing, cargo-biking, carrying, and so on. It's a pleasure to work with you, and your ceaseless volunteering spirit is pretty impressive. The polo cat / olympics thingy was awesome, and it was really cool that you were able to pull it together at such late notice. A lot of people have since told me how fun it was.

Mrak/Tree - Kudos for selling beer, crushing cans, and adding much hilarity and humour to the weekend.

Kitten weasel - off to a slow start, but turned out to be a super charged volunteer. RAFFLE TICKETS, leave no one behind, etc.

Eggpie - I'm really pleased that you returned from your hiatus especially to help us with the event. You're ace, x.

Jess - awesome help sourcing sponsors and being the PR girl, especially since I am so atrocious at it.

Badger - many thanks are due to you for your enthusiastic (and slightly hyperactive) help with setting up and taking down the tournament.

Zobags and Nik - pulled together the sponsorship pack and helped to secure the dollar dollar bill.

Nik/Ryan - thanks for being among the first to show up and the last to leave over the weekend, your carrying, building, transporting and being generally logistically awesome really helped to bring everything together.

DJs - PK, Festus, Joe and Aram - you made Thursday night one helluva party. Return of the bright times.

Joe - thank you so much for loaning your very very expensive equipment, and for getting it to and from the party. Thanks to you and Lori for hosting Maija, and looking after her whilst I was running around organising things.

Aidan - thanks for your impromptu help at the Orwell when you were on your way to polo!

Photographers - Paul, your photos are ace and really captured the event, especially the party! Love them. Thanks also for your help at the Orwell on Thursday.

Those who came to the Orwell to carry mildewy wood from the basement lair - THANK FUCK YOU WERE THERE. Mark, Oliver, Paul and a few new faces I didn't know, you're all brilliant.

Bike works and Sean - awesome, awesome job on the mechanics. So cool of you to get involved.

Musette! Awesome work girls, everyone loved your stall and I think it made everything look extra nice on the day. Also, thanks for the pizza!!

Refs, court builders and dismantlers, beer sellers, painters, carriers, lifters, cargo bike riders - thanks LPC and overseas volunteers for making the event run smoothly.

Hopefully I've not forgotten too many people, my brain is a little frazzled for the trans-oceania adventure.

And last but not least, thanks to TORNADOES - awesome fun on and off court. Jo and Nik, you guys killed it and it's a pleasure as always to play on your team xx
