  • Looks naff and I'm sure it won't hold long. I'll give the hot water soak a go.

Never had this trouble with my ten quid Planet X pump. "Upgrade" pfft.

Mumble mumble whinge long day feck

  • I'm sure it won't hold long.

Mine isn't much further in than that, but thanks to

a bit a Superglue on the new spigot

It's been fine for the two years since I did it.

  • Hot water got it over the second thicker section. I'll try that.

Is the lever supposed to actually lock it onto the valve?

  • Is the lever supposed to actually lock it onto the valve?

Yes, you need to adjust the threaded ring to compress the rubber grommet such that it's bore slides easily onto the valve stem and then constricts when compressed by the lever/cam system to hold tightly to the valve.

  • I see. What's the point of the screw at the top of the head then? Just to stop it rotating too far?

  • The small screw opposite the air pipe/spigot holds the roller follower for the cam.

  • Not an adjustment for the cross torsional tension pulverizer machined inverse spigot shim flange then? I am disappoint.
