I think you could build something much nicer by looking through the classifieds here for second hand better parts. If everything you're buying is brand new, you'll be able to get parts twice as good as those for the same money second hand.
Handlebars are a good choice, everything is fairly generic. Also, I proper lol'd at Espresso being described as 'italian design', so thanks for that! -

Been browsing through the classifieds for hours, but haven't really found my dream parts yet... the pictures I posted are just examples, doesn't have to be Espresso, but just like their design :) (Italian or not ; ) )

All depends what your budget is, and how patient you are. I built my second bike for under £450 by waiting and got amazing deals on Sugino 75 cranks, Mavic Open Pro wheels, and Campagnolo Record parts.
I would at least get better cranks, £30 for track cranks is asking of trouble further down the line. Something like Miche would be a better choice.
Wheelset, those are £150 new which I always think is a lot for no-name hubs and deep V's. What exactly do you want wheels wise, just deep section rims? Keep waiting on here for a similar, better spec'd wheelset for the me cash if not slightly less. You've got a really solid start with that frame, it's worthy of better parts than that ebay tat you're looking at.

I built Up my first bike last Sunday, also a Dolan Per Cursa frame, w road forks as I'm a courier and need something a little more robust! I just switched the frame w everything I had on my old piece of shit frame that I love freely and the thing runs like a dream. Looking at your colour scheme, it's very similar to mine, I'll whack a photo up so you have an idea of what it might look like!

Was thinking on a budget around 450 to 500£, all in. As for wheels I want white, deep section wheels. Will keep on looking around, but knowing me, It'll be hard waiting to start building :p

Indeed, looks like what I had in mind, just want the silver/chrome dropbar, partially taped, and white wheels. Think I'll go for silver seatstem and cranks...

Check out Varno's wheels in the classified. Better wheels that come recommended.

Thanks man, they look like solid wheels!

Do not buy the Espresso cranks either. Either wait and find something decent on classifieds, or just spend some more money to start with. Buying them, you'll only end up spending more in the future.
Espresso are well known for being rubbish. -

sounds like coffee rather than cranks tbh =/

Hmm, sucks Espresso seems to be rubbish... Do like the looks of it, but if everyone says it's shit, I will search for something similar, but of better quality.
If anyone has some goodlooking silver/chrome cranks (or other parts), do contact me!@Saddle: your humor suggest you haven't slept in days ;)

Those Planet X wheels rattlecanned black/stickers removed would look really awesome with that frame.
On-One hubs are actually pretty good too. -

Yeah, saw it too, but it's only collection... since I'm in Belgium, that's a bit hard ;)
Think I'll go for one of the wheelsets of Varno. -

Just ordered a nice set of V sprint wheels :) White rims, black spokes, black Miche hubs... Let the drooling begin!

Either this, or mr caramelpresso back to promote his nasty wares.
Hi all!
Been looking around on the forum for some time, and finally decided that I would get my hand dirty, and start a build my own.
normally I will get my hands on a lovely Dolan Pre Cursa frame (thanks to PeterMaxwell). Have an idea about how it should look like, but thought it would be nice to have some other opinions...
So, this is the frame:
Was thinking to have a basic set up, being black and white. Fell in love with these magnificent looking wheels:
For the rest of the setup I am still doubting on silver or black stems, bars, cranks,..., although I really have the hots for these kind of bars:
Really like the Italian designs of Espresso, so think (next to the wheels) other Espresso parts would look good on the bike:
also in black:
and this fine looking saddle (the white one of course):
Any suggestions from you guys? As said, it'll be my first build, so will be needing some advice.
Thanks already!
