  • Have been experimenting with eating the same amount (and cutting out as much alcohol as possible) but not eating after 6 for the last 3 weeks (admitedly interspersed with my birthday last weekend which invlolved a lot of booze, and several trips to v nice restaurants and a lot of cake) despite this I've dropped about 1.5kg and feel a lot trimmer.

The next few weeks don't include any real temptations to drink so hopefully I should be back down to the low 70s by the middle of september having got up to 77kg since I ran the paris marathon back in May.

Something I'm really keen to avoid doing again, but a combination of a lot of work and life related shit and resultant lack of care and a neccessary drop in training levels will be forgotten if I can get back down around 70kg.

My only real problem is I don't know how to switch the concentrating on diet thing on and off and it seems to happen relatively randomly. I feel happier when I'm being healthy but not really sure if that's a cause or effect and what else contributes to it. I've spent thr last 2 months trying to get more dicipline in my diet but it finally clicked about 3 weeks ago.
