  • I just forked out for a pair - well, you only live once. I'll write up a little review somewhere and let you know. Or alternatively, I'll sell them to you once I realise that I really can't squeeze 28cs into my frame.

    Bags of room, I can even get SKS mudguards in there. Bit weird on a race frame that doesn't have eyelets...

    Anyway. Initial ride - the Ruffy Tuffys feel good - they have less vibration and are slightly more comfortable than the 28c Randonneurs that were on it. Using 70psi on the front and 80 on the rear. And they look great and apparently last forever (at least 3k miles). I can't tell how grippy they are since they're new. Are they worth £80 a pair? Probably not, since you can get 28c Paselas (about the same weight, also have a kelvar puncture belt, and are also gumwall) at half the price, although the Paselas do have silly tread on them... I haven't ridden Paselas so I can't really comment.
