  • No don't do that ^^ , then my new frame wouldn't be as special...

  • The Raleigh Hodala Carbon SSCX with belt drive compatible gave me the weirdest boner;

  • Neither <£1000, nor a Raleigh, but I think this is quite nice.

  • Looks a bit rich (Red? Thomson? Rotor Cranks? Bottle mounts?) for a race machine, but yeah, looks nice.

Personally I'd go alu or carbon to keep the weight sensible then use basic components for durability. But I guess if you can afford to replace £200 red mechs every other weekend knock yourself out :)

  • Bottles and tyres make me think it's a road-n-trail type bike rather than a racer.

I'd have gone for q rings and bigger tyres (they look like 28s).

  • Jamis just released their Nova Pro Di2 CX bicycle, it have the full Tektro Hywire hydraulic Di2 brakes/levers.

    Trade price is £1300.

Now that's impressively cheap as it got a lots of staff interested in getting one on trade.

  • Assume the image is wrong as they appear to be BB7 brakes.

  • So Tektro levers presumably?

  • The ugly tektro hywire one, yep.

  • still no hydro?

  • 1300 - I would have that now at that price!

  • Ugly, but- looks like you'd be able to feel those buttons through thick gloves, which is what has been stopping me putting Ultegra Di2 on my cross bike.

  • I dont think my short fingers could reach a decent braking position from the hoods with those. Which would write them off for a CX bike for me. If I'm wrong, then i'd love them.

  • still no hydro?
    .

    It is hydro.

  • Ugly, but- looks like you'd be able to feel those buttons through thick gloves, which is what has been stopping me putting Ultegra Di2 on my cross bike.

So these leavers work with both Ultegra and Dura Ace Di2? If so best reason to go electric I've seen so far.

  • I don't know, but as no component other than the battery can be used on both Ultegra and current Dura Ace Di2 I'd think no.

However, the new DA Di2 (9000) will use canbus just as current Ultegra does, so it's possible.

  • I don't know, but as no component other than the battery can be used on both Ultegra and current Dura Ace Di2 I'd think no.

The new system will work with Shimano’s two Di2 groups: original Dura-Ace and the new Ultegra version. “The whole thing is designed with an eye toward both road and ’cross,” said Larrabee. “We wanted it to be sturdy enough for long descents, and any other kind of use that it may get.”

    Both bikeradar and TRP
    reckon they work with both.

I need a full disc frame now and Ultegra Di2.

  • That's interesting.

Hmm. Nope. Staying cabled on the crosser for now- I'd really like some Force shifters mind.

  • hopefully SRAM will bring out the hydro shifters soon.

  • Weren't they supposed be out by now?

  • are you allowed to buy at trade price and sell on forum? :P

  • not till after 12 months prior to purchase.

  • After 12 months prior to purchase!?

    Surely that means straight away.

    Dibs.
