My friend who races in Time Attack's ECU guy has convinced me Megasquirt is a bad idea. He's currently really working on selling me a LINK ECU (people who make ViPEC) with a sweet 30% discount and big discount on RR tuning time. Looking at about 600 big boys all in. I know I want it, it's justifying that expenditure. Part of me is thinking it's too good a deal to miss out on as it would usually cost over a grand.
Took the MX5 out on track for a short session while up at Anglesey Circuit, it was international format. Ahem, DECIMATED everybody else apart from a 500 bhp EVO. Managed to only get about 1 corner ahead of me though. I think I would have been closer to him had I remembered to adjust my suspension from road setup, and I was having too much fun hanging the back out on every corner.
