Cant see the drop-outs. But the weilded frame might be the same for SS and geared, with the drop-outs bolted on. Cheaper to keep things the same and claim its for versatility.
Is that a 1.5" headtube?
If the bike really can be ran geared. Would'nt be a massive task to run it as shown, with a bigger gear for commuting. Then chuck a bling wheelset on with a 1x10 drive chain and a Lefty for weekend mud fun.
