Assange is a shady shit, despite the value of wikileaks and ignoring the dubious charges against him in Sweden - he's as grey as they come. But today he did the best thing he's done in 3 years - he raised the case of Bradley Manning who's been in detention without trial for over 800 days. His case is only slightly less frightening than some of the early detainees at Guantanamo - who aren't quite on the Ahmad Qatamesh scale, but not far off.
Indefinite detention is such a fucked up scenario.
Not the actual prospects of the 168 detainees still being held there but the implications it has.
