He is accused of two separate sexual offences in Sweden.

The Swedish government wants to arrest him and put him on trial for the sexual offences.
Assange says the extradition case is politically motivated and Ecuadorian PM agrees.
Assnage is worried that once the trial is over, he will be extradited to the US (there is some evidence that they want him) where he will rot in jail as revenge for the embarrassment caused by Wikileaks. (see also: Bradley Manning)
