going to have to take Mogget for a proper groom (probably shave most of his fur off) as try as I might, I have not been able to sort out the matts in his fur. Everytime I go for the brush he either fucks off or will only tolerate it for a short while, before fucking off. It's only a few large clumps around his arse (mercifully not covered in cat shit) and some broader but flatter matts along his rear flank.
Should I just go to the vet or would it be something a groomer can sort out? He's not viscious in ANY way. If I tried to hold him to do it I would get scratched to buggery but only from him trying to get down and he always seems to have his claws out. He's pretty clumsy.
Any thoughts? The problem doesn't seem to be causing him any discomfort at all but I don't want it to get to that stage.
