Again!
A gorgeous classic steel frame mated to modern components thats just begging to be ridden and ridden hard!
Only thing I'd change is bars for something with a little flatter transition to the brifters, not full compacts mind, just less steep of a drop.
Love it, great work.

I cannot explain how much I freakin love gumwalls but on black rims with machined braking surfaces, they just look kinda meh.

Shoulda said, rest of the bike looks awesome. Just needs black braking surfaces for me.

Pinarello belongs to the forum's own erikjohnson I believe.
i'm honoured to share the porn thread with the pro's !
The pina would look even better with a properly fitted front brake cable and a stem of normal length.
Was drinking when i fitted the kit's on the pinarello and the vitus and they both came out too short/long here and there =) Have to revisit that cockpit and do it right and with lizard skins. Id love to swap the 80 for a 110 or 120 but i've been unsuccessful so far to find a matching smokey 3t ergo in that size to go with the bars.
I think the porn thread is over for me now.
Any time I want to see a nice bike I'm just going to look at this.
10/10 would bang etc.<3 <3

I've got both a 100 and a 120 3t Record 84 stem in that gunmetal finish that you can have if you want? I'm about to go on holiday but PM and we can sort something out.

For someone like me who has long thighs, that setup is perfect!
In that case... repped.
Lol! Agreed.

The merckx is my bike.
Well, I dont mind the machined surface. If the surface should have been black i should either have taiwan carbon rims or a set of mavic slrs.
Mavic slr is quite expensive and I like the tune hubs alot!
I dont really trust taiwan carbon, and open pro is an allround good, "light" rim, not a bad thing about thoose. Maybe silver open pro would be better, but im quite happy about it.Thanks all for the comments.

long stem and offset seat post?
-
• #66923
Is that a bad thing ?
-
• #66924
It gives the impression that the frame is too small for the rider.
-
• #66925
^^no, not at all.
you might need a bigger frame
