Just replaced a pair of 2+ plus year, used every day 28c Randonneurs on the commuter without a single puncture the entire time. Fantastic. The rear had a pretty much square profile and a thick red line all the way round. Colour me impressed.
As discussed much upthread I failed to source the 25c variety I needed to replace them so finally exasperated and in need of some bikefixin' to fill a bored Saturday afternoon I went with whatever was in stock in my LBS which turned out to be Schawlbe Durano Plus (the ones with the goofy London logo on them).
So far I can report that they go on fine, feel quite sluggish and look totally bent. Actually quite annoyed with myself for buying them. They really do look sh*t. Pretty sure I'll be swapping them out as soon as i've got a spare afternoon.
I have an unused set of 28c Armadillos sat idle if anyone wants to make me an offer. I didn't have the mudguard clearance for them. Bummer.
