Also, are you sure you want a small one? They really are tiny and have a lot of toe overlap. If you're reasonably comfortable on the large one then a medium would be better for polo.
Would toe overlap be such an issue if I ran MTB front wheel?

• #3753
I guess slightly less so, but I'd imagine it would still be there. I could test it for you if you want, I have a small pomp and a 26" wheel lying around
-
• #3754
Pomps are designed for 700c, wouldn't go 26" unless you want to make it even more twitchy than it already is
-
• #3755
I have a large pomp with 26 front end, it actually improves the handling as it makes the head tube a bit steeper.
You want a fork with 410mmish axle-crown and regular of rake 40mmish. But you'll prob need to run a 1.6 tyre or less to avoid toe overlap.

I've also got a pomp with 26 front. I like it.

Same here, handling feels much better to me. Far less front wheel "flop".

So am i right in thinking a Polo bike is just a high gear fixie with narrow bars?

Shameless cross thread plug (sorry)...but need to make some room in the house!
I have this Kona cindercone F&F for sale.

has had track ends fitted but canti posts etc are all still there so would make it perfect polo.
Also a set of bomb proof 26" wheels. -

£75 for a Kona Hahanna. Bought as a first pollo bike for my girlfriend but its too small. Would make a pretty decent first polo bike/pub bike

Sure, collect from LO?

The mycro fit me pretty well, and I wear a 51-57cm road helmet, so should be ok if you're in that range?

Cool, noted.
