Loaner Bikes

I've had to admit defeat with the Carlton -dt/turd's old frame that it's just a bit big to be comfortable so it's up for recycling but now with added fork, risers and stem - you'd need to find the rest. Any takers? Kevin?

The parts I got from you Kev are mostly on the Carlton frame now - the crankset is on my Charge Plug which is now going to be my polo steed - will be down to the Westway on it on Weds (if it isn't raining #fairweather)

I finally managed to get Angus' phone number last night at Souths. I will call him at lunchtime today. Its probably in Kennington. Does Pablo want it for this evening?

Called him. Not answering - and it sounds like his phone is abroad, it's got that strange ringing tone.

I really wish Kit hadnt given it to someone outside LPC before he left for the summer.

OK so Angus is not picking up his phone, despite me calling him at different times over the last two days. He has also not responded to my friendly texts saying "hey, how's it going, we are just looking for the polo bike back for the community, a few players would like to have something to use over the next couple of weeks for some tournaments". I also texted him my email address - nothing.

His number ringing still sounds like its abroad.

Kit responded to me by text but did not get back to me a second time when I asked him if he could talk to Angus about getting the bike back.

Does anyone on here know this Angus guy - or more importantly, know anyone who lives with him? I've met him once at Peckham, he is about six feet tall and he's Irish. He lives in a squat in Kennington. I think one or two of his housemates showed up at Peckham before with him. Its possible the bike might be sitting in the squat. If I can get his address I'll go around there and get it.

As you can gather, I'm a bit annoyed / disappointed about the potential loss of this bike.

Regarding other potential loaners out there: there are currently three at Westway.
Beagle, do you have two at the moment? Would it be possible to get the use of both of them for the tournament on the 15th?
And Jono, the red one that Lachie is currently using, would that be available too?

I've had a query from a grass player asking about the availability of more suitable bikes.

Kona is in my old place will bring it over for the open, the other is with Pablo.

Beagle, if you have a loaner, you can drop it in Bikeworks tomorrow on Cambridge Heath Road, they're putting stuff in a van on Friday to bring west.

Chukker is with ziska who I think might be using it for the tourney. Check with her.

Will drop the pomp with them tomorrow if I could get time off work on time, failing that I will bring it to Westway on Sat.

Saw Loki today on Jono's red firetruck but he will be flying off this Sat hence I assume it will be back with Jono before the tourney.

Fiona has volunteered hers as well so hopefully that'll be six usable bikes. We have three already out there, and I think most team will have one or two playable bikes, but just in case, it'd be good to have six.
