Is there any way to delete music as youre listening to it on an ipod?

I keep coming across songs i will *NEVER *want to listen to again but with so many songs, its difficult to actually sit at home listening to them.

Is there other ways of cleaning up ones music library?

And what is the best alternative to iTunes? iTunes sucks balls IMHO.

can you still rate songs on device? rate everything you don't like as one star, then sync with your laptop and create a smart playlist for one star songs. then delete them.
