how do you ensure that no air gets in when you cut the hose and put it back into the master cylinder?
Its like filling a straw with water and holding your finger over the end. As there is no way for air to get in at the caliper. Fluid cant escape the cable.
Still, I held it upright just incase. The key bit is edging the end fitting back in. As this is where you press air in. Just do it slowly.

If you reall fuck up. It'll need bleeding is all.
