So, looking at network I'm getting:

    Request URL:http://a.easyinline.com/imp?p=YTM2NjMyMTg2NjhyK20cvWkZdLqe9aO3kb6%2Bn8nlpNjlME80BlJftNjgCPNqWbqn9zmQvPl%2BuwAP6Kd%2BkwPmI2C0Ab%2BolVZ84Uex%2Few62FiZ9WDXw8kUy5JAYrH4zRDsqdKDQ6EF02HQO2SOAmyLyq7C1yofQ23P4y4w0%2BPcz%2FxvEyIrYro6Cb2aCb8wBfJmVn8

does that help? It's still only happening very occasionally, and as far as I can tell only on here (I don't browse much on this machine so will have to see if I see it anywhere else)
Seem's like it's meant to be an add-on, except I've not got any add-on's beyond HTTPS eveywhere, so no idea where it's coming form.

Also, on a side note, the HTTPS home page seems to be missing all the welcome info, as opposed to the normal page ("welcome to our community, please register etc etc.")
    I logged in. Doh!

So easyinline is a thing which injects adverts on to all web pages that you view that are not over https

Removal instructions are on this page:
    http://easyinline.com/support

How do I uninstall Yontoo and completely get rid of EasyInline and all Yontoo apps and ads?

If there's a single piece of functionality you no longer want, but still want to use others, consider disabling the specific Yontoo App individually from the Yontoo App Market.

Uninstall from Internet Explorer, Firefox or Google Chrome (PC): Go to the Windows Start Menu and then to Control Panel > Add/Remove ("Programs & Features" in Vista/Windows 7) and click "Remove" next to 'Yontoo'.

Uninstall from Firefox or Google Chrome (Mac): In the top menu, go to Tools > Add-ons. Select the Yontoo logo and then click Uninstall. Note: You cannot uninstall from PC with these steps, see instructions above for PC.

It was probably added with something called Yontoo App Market, or rather, you probably added an app from that marketplace and the marketplace forced installed the software that injects adverts:
    http://www.yontoo.com/TermsOfService.aspx

The Software is free to use and supported by advertising. Enabling Software features may cause additional ads to appear when browsing certain websites. These may include search, banner, inline text or transitional ads, depending on which features are enabled and websites are visited. These ads are not associated with or endorsed by underlying websites.

My bold in there... they are nothing to do with me.

The Yontoo stuff might have been installed when you installed other software like uTorrent, which bundles ad supported software and you simply may not have been diligent about opting out of it during install.

Anyhow, that's the root cause, and you need to uninstall via your Control Panel and Add/Remove Software (or whatever that is called).

You should also check for an extension called "Yontoo Layers" and remove that if it's present.
