  • Yeah, I heard about that too.

  • I did actually follow a guy (we both on bikes) who had the most mesmerising dancing coloured lights thing dangling off his saddle, I asked and it was from a wheel-pattern-light thing. It was a bit distracting but it's probably safer to be seen?

  • :( my Ledus lights still haven't arrived yet, ordered last monday as soon as they came back in stock.

    Ledus Wheelus arrived yesterday :)
very cutely packaged, handwritten note and personalised envelope

Would be interested to see some pics of it in action - from the site, the PCB looks fully exposed to weather? Is there a rain cover - or will you silicone it?

  • I went to look at getting some and they were sold out :-( will try again soon though :)

As I said above, I've run mine all winter, sorry summer, and it's been fine. The battery connections are exposed and could probably do with a wipe but it really is built for the outdoors!

  • sorry if ive been out too long, but when i was last cycling regular at night, the 'new' LED type light were only meant as an addition to your propper lights, the type like a torch with good bulbs that actualy put light on the road.

I used to ride on roads that even with the good LED lights now you would need two sets, are they ok on their own now?

  • There are LED lights out their that put out more lumens than car headlamps, just gotta shop around and pay the price. I recommend also checking out this thread

  • Thats a good thread, but yeah should have been clearer, im talking about the blinking stuff you can buy just about anywhere including various £1 shops, they are just meant as additions not to be used alone??

  • They're only safety lights, not meant to improve what you see, but make you more visible to other road users.

  • Good or not, i see alot of people with only those on the front, not great.

I'm surprised that the Peter storm jacket with a seam down the arm that lights up was not taken up by cycle jacket makers, my son has one that we bought a few years back for my daughter, it has a battery holder for 2x aa's and it can be on perminent or flashing, goes from the sholder to the cuff on both arms.

  • what are you putting on the display?

er, I just switched it on? I guess it's on shuffle, it slowly shifts through a few patterns. I haven't got around to connecting it to a computer yet.

  • what are you putting on the display?

If you check out the web site patterns mine is the New Model Army stuff.

Mk1 is Bollox Mk2 is better

I like NMA. They fucking rock!

  • Small children seem to be more wowed than adults however.

That's because small kids like bike bling. Playing card and a clothes peg on the back wheel anyone?

  • Can we say fuck?

    Yes... Edit reason.

  • I have 3 designs in the anonymous pattern library on their site not, can anyone guess which ones (hint: they're near the top)

  • well, that dint work

  • eheh.

  • Most definitely did not.

  • was supposed to be image of one of HB's...

  • has some good reflective on front and back

the strips down the arms are some sort of fibre optic, can be on all the time or flashing, they are actually a vivid green.
i cant find an adult size one though and i think they have stopped making the kids ones?

  • I wonder if people have had epileptic seizures looking at that thing.
