What I do when I plateau is I cut something calorific out of my diet, something like say chocolate or alcohol, thing is I have pretty much cut everything out that I can, so now I am progressively trying to eat less & less. Calorie counting is boring but it does work. I have found that I tend to zig zag between 1500 and 2000 calories a day. I do pretty intense workouts.
There is definitely scope for this, the problem being I don't really want to give up the weekend beers. Mid week drinking is out though, and I'm cutting the sunday wine as well, so it'll be friday, saturday drinks. Big game is on sunday this week, so might cut it out on friday and then enjoy a number of lagers on sunday morning beforehand. But that's how it is for me, never a succession of weeks that run smoothly.
