I get the feeling it's similar to Adam Buxton's BUG on Sky Atlantic HD. That show is fucking hilarious live, but with a limited 20-odd minute slot (when ad breaks are taken) and not enough production to translate Buxton's stage presence into a good TV presence it's a little ropey. Still watch it, as a) I'd like the show to get good ratings and go on for more than the pilot number of episodes and b) it's quite watchable anyway: funny, interesting and a lot better than most of the tat on TV.
The Cycle Show could be way better - and maybe it will be if it can make it past the first series
