^^ I haven't used the R400 but the grey plastic bit around the lever is so ugly I wouldn't even consider them on anything other than a beater. :)
The R600 are solid, yeah. Way more solid than the SRAMs. 7402s, a bit more again, grippier hoods and with a stronger return spring. Although the fancy finish on them can a bit slippy when used from the hoods.
