Just bringing this to the fore again. Always rather poopoohd the saddles with cutouts, but having spent a mere 2 hours in the saddle with a Rolls at the weekend I am definitely going to get my hands on one. Things are still a little...uh...sensitive. I didn't find things so bad with a charge spoon (although that wasn't amazing) but that wasn't right either.
I think it's a shame to change - I love my Rolls. It looks pretty and it's perfect for commuting, but if I'm ever going to cycle over 30 miles again I want something that isn't going to leave me whincing for the next three days.
I can't tell by looking - are mens' saddles generally longer throughout the whole length, or is it just a certain bit that is lengthened? And difference does the length really make? Debating whether to go with a selle italia mens or womens - I've only ever had mens' saddles before but maybe that's partly where I'm going wrong.
